Why is it happy? Because I said so, that’s why. I choose to be happy today. Still bummed that repairing my car in Dec. and Feb. cost so much, but thankful that the LORD provided for that need in advance. God knows what He’s doing even when we don’t.
Jim isn’t feeling well again. He has off Thursday thru Monday. I finally got an appointment for him to see his dermatologist while he’s out of school this week.
That being said, tomorrow is supposed to be in the 60°’s and I’ve got my paint from The Home Depot for painting the bed we’re turning into a bench. Next is a trip to get the guys in lumber to cut the pieces I need for the seat box and legs, tho they do have some lovely pre made legs I’m going to check out.
Goodness, I took a nap today and slept so hard that when I woke up I didn’t know what day it was or even if it was night or day.
Jim tutors today and then gets off a little early tomorrow afternoon. I’m not sure what they call this 5 days off but I’m thankful that we’ve had no ‘snow’ days so we can have this extra long weekend. It’s going to be so, so cold, tho!
Nick’s off work today and it’s been nice having him home. I enjoy the company and so do the dogs. Daisy is scared because the family behind us is having another tree cut down and there’s lot of whining noise from the saws. I had no idea what was going on until I saw the pile of wood to the side of the house. I think that might be his last tree. We have probably 100 and they have zero, by choice. They do have the largest home on the smallest lot.
Fifteen years ago Jim had just bought me my first computer and I was terrified of it. I found a website called Christian Pen Pals and wrote a few women who stood out. Then I saw a notice of ‘whose birthday is today’, and wrote Happy Birthday to a young woman named Mary Ann. She responded that her birthday was actually over since she lived in India and our friendship included a trip from India to visit us and has lasted 15 years. Happy Birthday dear Mary Ann.
I talked to my mother today. She and her friend caught the chest thing that’s been going around and Mother’s still very ill. It’s not pneumonia but the doctor gave her something else to try and then he wants her to follow up with another doctor. Please pray for my mother, Betty. She had breast cancer in her late 40’s but has never been sick other than that with chest colds clearing up within days. I wish she wasn’t so far away but I am so thankful she has the best friend in the world who would do anything for her and makes sure she is on top of things. Meanwhile, her sister they just visited is in the hospital with pneumonia, so pray for her, too, please! Wow….
Everyone is home at once! Wow! Cool. Think I’ll spend some time with my family and hope you’ll drop by tomorrow for
Just a Little Talk
