My how fast this season has flown by. It seems like yesterday we decorated the house, yet it’s been over a month now. I love how pretty the house looks with all the decorations!
It was 61° earlier today and rain has moved in. Christmas Eve will be 18° but will 11 mph winds so the wind chill will make it a few degrees colder. We have a chance, slight chance, of a few flurries that night.
We don’t have many presents to wrap. We sent gift cards to the grand kids. Maybe we’ll do them tonight. Jim took Erin to work in Carrollton for a four hour job at Publix. He decided to stay over there instead of coming home and going back because of the traffic and round trip two times is 1 1/2 hours. Also, if they run out of candy, she’ll get off early. Ah ha! They were smart to make plans because Publix had no candy left at all, not even to show let alone give out as samples. She still gets paid for her shift.
Christmas Eve we’re going to Harmony Baptist Church with our middle son and his family. It’s a bit of a drive, but we wanted to go to church as a family that day and they love their little church. They’ll have one service at 10:00.
I got my Christmas gift in the mail today. It was listed as a pinkie ring, size 4 1/2 to 5 and it’s a size 7. It’s also a large ring, emeralds and diamonds of course, so moved it to a different finger and took the small ring that I had there to Empire Jewelers in Villa Rica to be cut down to a 4 1/2. It had been owned by one woman for 30 years. I love antique estate jewelry and yellow gold. Gosh they have so many beautiful things left, including estate jewelry. Michael had four tennis bracelets on display. Different stones for each. He had probably 2 dozen rings to choose from in his estate jewelry display!
Jim had another audiobook accepted today and it’s going into production. He’s auditioned for another 3, including a kid’s book. He seems to enjoy doing it and thankfully, his microphone he uses for reading doesn’t pick up the ‘house’ sounds so we don’t have to hide away.
It’s so dreary here! No sun all day and tho it started off warm, it’s much cooler because it’s rained on and off much of the afternoon.
Think I’ll think about wrapping presents so see you later for
