Thanks for stopping by my blog. My name is Diane Weldy Tavegia and I was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1950. We were transferred to Georgia when the Air Force Base closed when I was 15. From there, I went to Tift Baptist Women’s College and met my future husband on a blind date in 1970. We were engaged within weeks and married 5 ½ months later. We’ve been married 47 years as of Oct. 10th, 2017.
Jim and I have four children who are all grown and both biological and ‘by marriage’ grandchildren. We live outside a tiny town in Georgia, not far from the Alabama line and about 200 years due west of Atlanta.
I have 2 awesome young dogs and a very old Calico cat and they bring me a lot of joy, and heartache, but you’ll have to read my blog to understand.
We’re very active at Ephesus Baptist Church in Villa Rica (Winston) Ga. The location depends on whether you’re looking at maps or mailing address, but if you’re local and looking for a church home, call me and I’ll save you a place!
My favorite Bible verse is:
1 Peter 1: 18-20 For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. God chose him for this purpose long before the world began, but now in these final days, he was sent to the earth for all to see. And he did this for you.
Nice to meet you and I do hope you’ll stop by daily and we can have …….
Just a little talk!
